Lisa Guerin
Today, artist Lisa Guerin came to Sweetpeas and Snapshots to bring in some workshop samples, and set dates for those classes. While she is checking her calendar to see if the dates we had available are agreeable with her schedule, she was sweet enough to leave the samples at the store to whet our appetites.
I thought I'd share the photos with you (Mary is as excited as I am) as a preview before we post the dates and pics up on the store blog.
The first image is the "Grande Dame" doll, with movable parts (her crown comes off too!)

The other images are of smaller, "Mon Petit Amies", Marie Antoinette inspired pretties which can be used as book marks, embellishments, or whatever one chooses. Again, all have movable joints.

Big thanks to artist/friend Catherine Moore, for sending Lisa our way. I hope all of you can come in to Sweetpeas this coming Saturday, March 10th, for start of the Character Constructions Trunk Show (!) Not only is this the first time we are able to offer this opportunity, but it is the West Coast debut of her Mad Tea Party Collection.
The same day (3/10) the store is celebrating the release of Mary Engelbreits' Home Companion Magazine's April/May issue, of which the cover features Mary Smilove's personal flair for design and an article spotlighting her!!! I can't even tell you how proud I am of this accomplishment; it is such a prestigious compliment to this very talented lady.

To help with the celebration and festivities, friends Emily Falconbridge and Gina Armfield are providing free make 'n takes while everybody nibbles on cupcakes and sips champagne.
Don't be a stranger; come and play and say hello!
