Quinceanera
I had a very satisfying movie experience tonight at Donna's. She rented Quinceanera, a film set in Echo Park with a wonderful, engrossing story line. I wept (like that's anything new.)
Donna grilled up some large, tender skewered shrimp and some short ribs and served it all up with Basmati rice with sauteed onions and mushrooms. She is such a kitchen goddess! She even made a banana bread using "Hoppy's recipe" (Hoppy was my nurse when I was an infant.) I'm going to get a copy of the recipe and post it up here soon. It is so easy to throw together, and so good.
